Perhaps you have seen the article sharing that 60% of Utah voters don't feel like either party represents them, maybe you are one of the 60%. I am. Both parties have moved too far from the center and no longer represent most of us. It's time for a new outlook. A new way of thinking about creating a government based on what we unitedly value, based on our identity as Utahns, not as Democrats or Republicans.
How? It all comes down to Civic Virtue. Civic Virtue is a real term and political scientists know it is big part of balancing governments that have moved too far either way. What do we do? We sacrifice in some way, expecting nothing in return, for the good of humanity and others. We put people before party allegiance. We do what is right over what is convenient or self-gratifying or what will line our pockets. We can't become better without having to actually do something to make us better. These acts of sacrifice and love will refine us and give us new eyes. We will see our commonalities over our differences. We will lift. We will guide. We will show love. It can happen.
I hope you will choose to join me in spreading the concept of civic virtue in our community, through our elected leaders and within ourselves. The choices you make daily make a difference. Believe it. Practice it daily. Live it fully.
This website isn’t traditional, and that is on purpose. If things are going to change, it starts with how we campaign. Business as usual won't get new results. Civic virtue can be as simple as playing around on this site because you are sacrificing your time to learn more. Please, spend some time here.

Civic Virtue: A Simple Definition
Civic Virtue is the willingness of an individual to sacrifice, without expectation of personal gain, for the benefit of the community.
It is motivated by a love that, at its core, is about the true care and concern for others.
It involves reaching out and working with others for the benefit of the society we share.
What UTAH Can Do:
Although I generally believe that things work best when people reach out and work together rather than having a law requiring something, there are times and situations where laws are appropriate. Here are a few ideas I have to help make Utah an even better place for all of us. Each of these issues should be studied by a committee of Utahns who are experts in that area who will provide feedback and suggestions for writing the bill.
